Never Forget

I can still see two pair of footsteps
walking these streets.
They took me places I never thought I'd go.
Memories of a shared past linger into eternity
and remind me of a better time.
I recognize this road from eeyore.
And it reminds me of the mood I enjoyed.
I've seen so much,
shared so many moments in places
I only dreamed of.
All of them are kept alive
by the mere thought of you.
I wish I'd never die,
because these memories should
never be forgotten.

Grey Memories

There's something in the way the clouds move
across the grey sky.
It takes me back to a time
where future and happiness not really existed.
I can still feel that momentary lapse of love
which filled me then.
I used to cling on to those grey days
and savoured every letter, every kiss.
How could I even try to forget those memories.
When they shaped me into the man I am today.
It's worth so much more to retain all
the good and loving moments.
Instead of living with the pain of loss.
So I released myself from the cage within.
By remembering the deep grey sky.
