Tired and worn out, the drive lingers on.
Roads washed away under the wheels.
A waterdust thrown up blurs the past
as the road goes on.
Stars shine eternally down on us.
cold and indifferent to all.
Familiar scenes take back past memories.
Particular scents bring back summers long gone.
Looking up at the sky we once shared.
It's late and I'm lingering on to consciousness.
The stars shine bright in the most
beautiful night.
I don't want to go to sleep.
While you already rest in an eternal slumber
behind those empty walls.
