Not Afraid

Ten years, a changed man.
Hardened by the harsh lessons of life.
Survived the best and worst he encountered.
And once in a while he got a beating,
but the way he saw it,
everybody gets a beating sometimes.
So he just slept in the bed he had made
and learned from his countless mistakes.
In retrospect he can't grasp how much has changed.
From the boy who used to be nobody
into the man he is today.
The boy who walked the path of life
and chose to live it his own way.
Not afraid to break from the conventional,
he stands apart from the crowd.
Not afraid of the next ten years to come.
