Intertwined

My fingers gently follow the soft curve of her skin.

Lost in the moment

fingers intertwined.

I see her smile shining brightly 

in the dim lit room.

Her body feels so warm

it sends a shiver through my spine.

I never would've dreamt I would feel like this again.

Never would I've hoped to feel this safe.

She captures my mind with a mere word.

And I never want to let go.

Her hair tickles my face 

but I just don't want to let her go.

So I breathe her in 

and fight the coming dawn.
