Never Fades

My heart beats strong

driven by her presence within me.

The moment draws nearer

inch by inch and step by step.

Count the minutes until 

I see her smiling face again.

It feels like time slows down every second.

Stretching between now and the moment where I long to be.

So patiently,

I wait for that time.

I just want to spend it with her, 

forget about the world as if nothing else mattered.

So I bide my time and see the minutes become hours,

hours become days.

But the thought of her never fades away.
